I've been grumpypants this week at work but this poster managed to crack a smile out of me.

I saw Camera Obscura last Friday night at the Commodore. This is my third time seeing them and as always, they delivered.

The combination of Tracyanne's voice and her heartbreaking lyrics have me so hooked.

Every so often, I see an image that sends my heart leaping into my throat. It sounds hokey, a tad mushy, but it's all too true.

I am nowhere near marriage, but so many of my dear ones are. I have never been the type to be jealous, but perhaps a little envious when I see beautiful images like this!

The weather in Vancouver has been truly lovely these past couple of weeks. It's been a lot warmer and sunnier than the usual late May weather we're given.

All I can think about it lying on a blanket in a park and reading a good book. Alternatively, the above setting will do just fine.

I would love to be working in a large office tower filled with cubicles and bust this out at lunch time!

From a young age, my life was all about books. When people asked me what I would be when I grew up, I would not hesitate, "A writer!"

My parents would drop me off at the library and collect me a few hours later. It may seem like abandonment, perhaps even a sneaky way to get free babysitting, but I WANTED to be there. I even tried to take out more than the 25 book limit on more than one occasion.

My love of books has not faded. I can't imagine a life without a stack of books on my nightstand.
